Biography of Gordon Snider

I was born in 1946.

I have been a home computer user for some years. My first computer was an Atari 1040ST, followed by a '286 running DOS. I wasn't satisfied with Windows 3.1 but went instead to OS/2 3.0 and have been with OS/2 ever since, currently running MCP1 and MCP2 on a couple of computers.

My past jobs include Central Security Administrator on a mainframe computer for an insurance company, using Computer Associates Top Secret security program, and Help Desk Specialist.

I am currently full time student at Seneca College (until May 2004) on a Computer Numerical Control course.

I have dabbled in REXX, COBOL and BASIC programming and am now trying to learn C++ and event driven, GUI programming but am finding it a tough haul.

I have contributed three articles to the POSSI website and REXUTILS11.zip to Hobbes, REXX Utilities for simple stuff.
