VCDGear for OS/2 Updated!
The VCDGear for OS/2 has been updated.
It is available at http://www.vcdgear.com
Moderator Note:
OS/2 download: http://www.vcdgear.com/files/vcdgear176-040205_os2.zip
Online forums to ask questions about VCDGear are at

A readme.os2 file states the following:
"To get the executable to run, the following DLLs must be present:
Imported Modules:
0 IBERTY
1 EMXLIBCM
2 EMX"
NOTE: A quick Google search shows IBERTY.DLL as part of the GCC library,
though the binaries no longer were available at the site http://www.goof.com/pcg/os2/download.html I found a version of
IBERTY.DLL buried in http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/dev/emx/v0.9d/gcc3.2.1.zip EMX.DLL and
EMXLIBCM.DLL are part of the EMX runtime available on hobbes: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/dev/emx/v0.9d/emxrt.zip
"What is VCDGear?
VCDGear is a tool written to effortlessly extract MPEG streams from CD
images, convert VideoCD files to MPEG, correct MPEG errors, create
(Super)VideoCDs and more!. The first public release was back in late 1997
and ever since then, VCDGear has continued to grow in complexity, offering
a multitude of features to make this a very powerful tool for VideoCD
enthusiasts. VCDGear is the result of over 6 years of work.
Some of the features you will find in VCDGear are:
* MPEG stream extractions from popular CD images
* On the fly MPEG correction to fix certain types of MPEG errors
* Super VideoCD and VideoCD image creation
* Sample generation
* Multilanguage support
* Graphical interface and command-line versions available
* Cross platform
* Free! (donations are accepted!)
Anyone requiring the need to transport their video materials will find
VCDGear as a useful tool to assist them in getting the video to play on
their computer or VideoCD player."

The quote is from an article on Infoworld http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/02/13/HNlinuxoffice_1.html that
talked about IBM's efforts to get MS Office running on Linux.
