will definitely be a "can't miss".
And, no doubt, we'll all be talking about everything that happened at our big
shindig, Warp Expo West (http://www.scoug.com/warpexpowest/index.html)
on September 18th.
After the presentation we'll have Q&A to get your computer problems resolved.
Then a raffle and the Saturday SIG meetings:
General Interest Group - will look at Dialog Enhancer and SciTech Display Doctor.

your system.

OS/2 SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP
PHILADELPHIA AREA COMPUTER SOCIETY
http://www.phillyos2.org
The OS/2 SIG of the Philadelphia Area Computer Society invites all interested
computer users to attend the September meeting:
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 1999 7:00 - 10:00 PM
The Episcopal Academy, 376 N. Latches Lane, Merion, PA
*** SEPTEMBER FEATURE PRESENTATIONS ***
-- Members' OS/2 Tips and Tricks Night --
The main theme for the September meeting will be a continuation of presentations
and live demos (if possible) by several SIG members, of interesting and helpful
applications, tips and tricks which these members regularly employ to enhance the
usefulness, productivity and enjoyment of their OS/2 systems.
This will be a continuation of the August meeting when we were treated to two
great presentations: SETI by Ben Bowers; and House/2 with the X10 Controller by
Murray Weismer. Presentations of "URL Objects to Organize Websites" by
John Davey and "Various WPS Tricks" by David Moskowitz, originally scheduled
for August, will now be given in September.
Larry Lavins will also present his very recent experience with the planning and
successful installation of Windows 98-SE into his computer, alongside the previously
installed OS/2. Many OS/2 users have expressed interest in a reliable, safe procedure
for installing Win95/98 into an OS/2 system.
The September meeting will provide another especially good opportunity for all
our folks to come on out to see and learn more about what some of the other OS/2
users are doing and to share experiences and knowhow.
Other agenda items include SIG business matters, OS/2 news, new software releases,
Q&A session, software raffle, etc. An OS/2 system will be on hand for demos
of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as time permits. Free light refreshments will also
be available.
Mark the date and time: Wednesday, September 22, at 7:00pm, to hear about all
the new and exciting developments, or if you have questions about OS/2 Warp and
Java. OS/2 SIG meetings are open and free for OS/2 users, their guests and all others
interested in learning about OS/2 and associated Java technology.
WE SUPPORT THE JAVA LOBBY: http://www.javalobby.org
Further information, directions to Episcopal Academy, and other useful information
about the OS/2 SIG activities may be found on our web site at http://www.phillyos2.org,

These are exciting times for Warpheads! Two really big shows are coming up to
show off our pride and joy -- Warp Expo West in Los Angeles on September 18th, and
Warpstock '99 in October. And we're going all out to make sure you're involved,
even if you can't come to town. We'll be fine tuning our activities in public meetings
on IRC on the #VOICE channel Monday, 5 PM PDT (0000UTC) and on the #SCOUG channel
Wednesday, 7PM PDT (0200UTC). The VOICE meeting is a Speakup to work out some of
the logistics details of our participation in these events. We'll have continuous
chat, interviews, SpeakUps with Warp dignitaries, live pictures and other information
directly from the convention floors! We want to do it right, and we need your help.
The SCOUG meeting will fine tune the content as we approach the big date with Expo.
Watch the web site at http://www.scoug.com/internet/expo/index.htm
for presentation materials, as well as information about how to get connected and
join us.
Also, please mark your calendar for this and every Saturday 0800 PDT (1500 UTC)
(except the 18th) for our Warp Systems chat, where we discuss the future of Warp,
how we can make sure it evolves. And join us this and every Monday at 7 PM PDT (0200UTC)
for the Amazing Warp Help Desk. We've solved so many problems we're thinking of
putting up a sign like McDonalds, showing how many billions served! Bring your worst
problems, and your valuable experience and join this mutually beneficial collaboration
on tweaking our favorite operating system.
