-- MONEYDANCE PERSONAL FINANCE SOFTWARE --
We're very pleased to announce that Sean Reilly, author of the MONEYDANCE personal
finance program written in 100% Java, will be our guest at the July 25th meeting.
Sean will present and demonstrate the latest Moneydance v.3.2 (246), greatly expanded
and improved from an earlier version which Sean presented to us during his previous
visit in December 1998.
The current Moneydance version includes a most impressive list of features and
capabilities, and is continually being updated and expanded. For additional information
and free download, go to the moneydance website at http://moneydance.com.
The current v.3.2 (246) is 11329 KB which will take about 30-45 minutes to download
with a 56KBPS modem. If Sean gives permission to do so, copies can be made at the
meeting for anyone who provides a 100MB ZIP disk with sufficient free space.
Other agenda items, as time permits, include U/G business items, OS/2 news, Q&A
session, new releases and raffles. The usual free refreshments will also be available.
OS/2 meetings are open and free for OS/2 users, their guests and others interested

OS/2 Bay Area user group: the return!
Howdy. I'm not sure if you're aware that the OS/2 user group in Silicon Valley
is in the process of re-forming (or at least seriously considering doing so). They're
having a meeting on July 24, though I'm not certain of the location -- contact Paul
(address below) for directions.

Dear fellow BAUG followers,
A rough agenda of the meeting to take place on July 24th at 7:00 pm follows:
7:00pm - 7:20pm getting reaquainted with old friends and meeting new ones
7:20pm - 8:00pm open discussion on the viablity and want to re-establish the
OS/2 BAUG and what incarnation it should take if any. Including roles of participants
and other such organizational matters.... including a possible new name?
8:00pm - 8:40pm roundabout various Internet chat programs such as ICQ, AIM, IRC,
and Limewire. What works for you, what doesn't work, what you would like to know.
We will have a computer on site, but at this moment Internet access might not be
available due to location.... I am checking further on this.
8:40pm - 9:00pm closing comments from all participants. selection of next meeting
if so determined (I hope so).
The agenda is intentionally loose to allow for candid dialog and brainstorming.
Look forward to seeing you all there.....
Did I mention the 7 port DSL/Cable Router door prize??
Regards,
Paul Lazaga

SCOUG Presents The New Web Browsers
SCOUG Presents The New Web Browsers
On Saturday July 21 you'll see the new OS/2 web browsers at the Southern California
OS/2 User Group (SCOUG).
SCOUG's Dave Watson will show the brand new Opera Browser for OS/2. This is the
first release of an OS/2 Opera browser, and you'll learn how to install it, which
installer you have to use and what DLLs have to be on your machine so it will run.
You'll also see the newest release of the Warpzilla OS/2 browser. Warpzilla is
the OS/2 version of the open-source Mozilla browser, which used to be called Netscape.
And with Warpzilla you have a choice -- there are versions for OS/2, OS/2 EMX
and OS/2 XFree86. Dave will show them all so you can choose the one that's best
for you.
Want Sun's Hot Java browser running on OS/2? SCOUG will show it! If you visit
sites which use Java it may make sense to have the Hot Java browser on your desktop.
Dave will also show the IBM Software Choice browser with the new high-speed DLL.
Did you try the IBM browser but it was a little slow? Not any more.
Need Flash on your browser? Come to SCOUG. Want to hear about web browsers and
Odin? Come to SCOUG. Need to learn how to tune in Internet Radio? Come to SCOUG.
The presentation starts at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday July 21 at the monthly meeting
of the Southern California OS/2 User Group (SCOUG). The address is 1485 North Tustin
Avenue, Orange -- the banquet facilities on the second floor of Regal Lanes. For
directions and a map, see
http://www.scoug.com/directions.html
Arrive a few minutes early for a good seat. Free donuts!
The new web browsers run great on OS/2. Come to SCOUG!
