real-time news headlines from the Internet and displayed them on your
desktop. There was a working beta OS/2 version of the software, from
http://www.infomarket.ibm.com/ht3/ntos2.htm, but since the entire
service (including the Windows versions) has been discontinued, there's
nowhere to get headlines from any more. **)

[11/24/97] - IBM News Ticker Gone 

     Sometime this weekend, my IBM News Ticker program stopped
receiving updated headlines. When I called them today, they informed me
that the entire News Ticker service had been suddenly and permanently
discontinued and that the servers were now being used for other
purposes.
