JSecureCom is a personal communication tool for Java. It is designed
to hook two people up directly (without using the IRC channels,
servers, IP servers, etc.) for a one-on-one personal text mode chat.
JSecureCom utilizes a "Hailing feature" to accomplish this. The
hailing feature uses a built in seamless e-mail facility to send your
current IP address to another JSecureCom user in a specially coded
e-mail letter. Once the Hail message is detected at the receipients
(by his running copy of JSecureCom) it connects the programs together
in a private communication session.

*The current versions of SecureCom for OS/2 and Windows (95/NT) also
has SEVERAL other features and capabilities that this EARLY BETA does
NOT currently have. Most of these features, including the ability to
transfer files, will be added in coming Betas or in the first
released non-beta version, 1.00.

One button Hailing makes it a simple and painless way to connect.

Compatible with existing SecureCom versions on OS/2 and Windows.

JSecureCom requires having Java 1.1 or greater installed on your
computer. It has been tested with Java 1.1.3 on Windows NT, 1.1.5 on
Windows 95, and 1.1.4 on OS/2. It also requires that you have TCP/IP
installed and a true PPP or Slip internet account with an e-mail
address. This software will NOT work peoperly for America On Line
customers because AOL doesn't supply a true PPP or Slip account.

No other servers, e-mail or support software are needed.
