Here is the text of a letter I got today from IBM (This leaves the
average OS/2 user with no easy way to program for OS/2):

   Ted:

   Unfortunately, it is true that all development for VisualAge for
   Basic has been dropped.  Last Tuesday, it was announced that the
   product will be withdrawn from marketing, effective 6/30/98.
