Salvagno (whiz@iol.it) Moderator: Christopher B. Wright +--------------------------------------------------------- MAngband for OS/2 v0.5.2 has been released! What's this MAngband thing? --------------------------- It's a multiplayer Internet version of the roguelike game Angband. Lots of information is available (including a FAQ) at the MAngband home page at http://www.umr.edu/~keldon/mangband. Ok, but what's Angband?? ------------------------ Angband is a rather addictive freeware computer role playing game based loosely on the world of J.R.R.Tolkien, in which the player explores the complex dungeon of Angband, killing monsters and collecting treasure, and eventually defeating Morgoth, the Master of the Pits of Angband. More info about Angband at http://www.phial.com/angband The current MAngband release features several improvements, including the OS/2 server, and better integration with the OS/2 operating system. You can download MAngband for OS/2 from the following sites: Hobbes OS/2 archive http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/mangband-052.os2.zip (will be probably moved to /pub/os2/games/rogue/) MAngband official FTP site ftp://mangband.mit.edu/incoming/ (will be probably moved to /pub/MAngband/server/) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------
