There is a new alpha version of GIMP/2 available, Asbjoern Pettersen
released version 0.3 last weekend.

It still requires the XFree86 for OS/2 package. You will find
information about installing it on the GIMP/2 page (see address below)

New features:

 - Added a lot of Plug-ins. (about 130!)
 - Replaced the fork() with spawn() to increase the plug-in startup.
 - Improved the File dialog.

The new version has been greatly enhanced over the first release, so
don't miss this upgrade!

Limitations in the current release:

- it's slow, but first we have to implement all features (like script-fu)
- not all plugins are working

Unfortunately I don't know what happened to Hugues Ferland (he was working
on the PM Version of GIMP) I think we have to start again from scratch
with the native PM version. The work we have to do is porting the
GTK (Gimp ToolKit) to OS/2.

The rest should not be very hard because we have an XFree-Version
of GIMP running.

If you are interested in supporting us, or if you know what might
have happened to Hugues Ferland, please send a mail to ktk@netlabs.org!

You will find all about GIMP/2 at

That's it, have fun with the GIMP/2!
