If you haven't heard about the Caldera lawsuit against Microsoft,
and you'd like to know if/how that suit might affect your own
software choices, then check out our new 24x7 Report at our website!
The article has the metaphor-rich title of "Fatted Calf, Golden
Calf: The Selling of Windows" and may give you a richer
understanding of major blunders committed over and by Microsoft, as
well as reason to expect a better future, when you may enjoy greater
cross-compatibility and wider choices in technology. As an
individual programmer, business-owner and/or consumer who uses OS/2,
Linux, Unix, DOS, Mac and other major platforms, you may enjoy this
report's deeper focus on the technical and psychological aspects of
software marketing, with needed comparisons to Caldera's DR-OpenDOS
and IBM's OS/2.

You may recall that my previous announcement mentioned IACT's 24x7
Reports, contributed by IACT members who rely on their first-hand
experiences with the major desktop and/or network platforms--
including the operating systems that you yourself use. Your own
experiences really should be included in these 24x7 Reports as well
as in other IACT projects, so that all of us together can actively
support open standards, user choice and cross-compatibility.

If you're interested in sharing your computer experiences, you may
wish to read/review the current 24x7 Reports (along with the IQ
Newsletter articles) to get ideas about specific topics, and write
back to me if you have questions or ideas in mind.

I especially would like to see more articles contributed by
multi-platform users, who use any combination of Linux, Unix, OS/2,
DOS, MacOS, Rhapsody etc..
