In an exclusive telephone interview with WarpCast earlier today,
Warpstock Steering Committee member, Larry B. Finkelstein,
characterized the status of Warpstock '98 as, "still on track."

Recently, members of the Chicago group organizing the Warpstock event
this year chose to resign over differences of opinion with the
Warpstock Steering Committee. Because of this, some have believed
that the future of the event was in question.

However, Finkelstein told us, "It is still our intent to hold the
event in Chicago [this year]." When questioned about the use of IBM
offices and facilities for the event, he said, "We're looking into
it. Ideally, we'd like to hold [the event] at IBM facilities, but at
this time we're not sure if this will be feasible."

Further news and developments will be announced on the Warpstock
mailing list, the Warpstock web site (www.warpstock.org) and, of
course, here at WarpCast.
