NetBeans has released its new Java IDE written entirely in 100% Pure
Java: NetBeans Developer 2.0 Beta. While NetBeans will run on any
pure Java enabled system, when Jeppe Cramon (author of the Cramon
Utilities and PlusPak: B.U.G.S. -- http://www.gbar.dtu.dk/~c948129)
contacted them to offer to "officially" test it on OS/2, he was told
that there were already enough OS/2 testers and the product had been
been tested under OS/2.

Right now the free beta version can be downloaded from NetBeans' web
site:

  http://www.netbeans.com/

Jeppe tells us that he has tested the beta version under OS/2 with
the latest Java 1.1.4 and it works fine.
