I found this on the page for a java app called quote grabber. It is a
program for tracking stocks over the internet. The author recently
added the ability to get realtime quotes from Datek. Datek's url is
http://www.datek.com Here is what the author has to say about this
new feature.

The QuoteGrabber is a stand-alone Java application that provides
live continuously updated quotes and charts from the Internet.
Real-time quotes from the US markets and delayed quotes from the
US, Canadian, French, German and Italian markets are provided at
  this time.

The basic purpose of this program is to keep one's favorite stocks
neatly organized inside separate portfolios. The expected purpose
is a little more ambitious: improve one's short-term trading
decisions by giving a better view of market data.

Version 1.0.2 has been released with the following features:

1.Real-time quotes. Registered users having an account with Datek
can access real-time market data from the NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX.
This feature is only supported under Windows and Linux for now.
(note: we could port our native real-time data module to other
Unix platforms if interested users wish to trade an account on
their machine for a free license, OS/2 experts are kindly invited
to contact us with suggestions on how to cross-compile for their
  platform).

Here is the author's email address: mito@aparima.com
and web site: http://www.aparima.com/quote/

If someone can help him with this, it would make this the first
program of its kind that I know of that can get realtime quotes from
a mainstream souce. No longer would we OS/2 users be second class
citizens in the stock market.
