Good-Day Everyone:

A Public Gamma version of my Java Serial Handler
package (which so far only includes a JNI module for
OS/2 users) and Serial Test Suite for Java is now available
on my website. You can access the project homepage
directly by going to:

	http://yaztromo.idirect.com/java-serial.html

I would apperciate it if any OS/2 users running IBM's
JDK 1.1.x interested in helping out could take a minute
to download the Java JAR and the native OS/2 DLL file
(about 100k download in total), and run some of the tests.
The Test Suite and Serial Handler have been tested under
IBM JDK 1.1.6 successfully on our development machine, so
if you're interested in helping test, it should work fairly
well. Note that in order to test you should have at least
one available serial port that is functioning properly
under OS/2.

Any developers out there interested in using these
Serial classes should also check out the webpage above, as
I've included all JAVADOC documentation on the Serial
classes, and all source for both the pure Java classes
and native OS/2 library.

And finally, any developers interested in helping to
port the native library to other platforms should E-Mail me
at .

Thanks to everyone who has showed interest in this
project thus far!

Brad BARCLAY,
Java Serial Handler Designer & Developer.
