Sorry for my somewhat too short posting

misunderstandings. Hermes/2 is only for the US Robotics 56kMessage
Plus and US Robotics 56k Message Pro Modems no other modems are
supported. The Free Software is needed if you want to control the so
called 'selfmode' of these two modems and you don't want (for what
reasons ever) the Phone-Tools deliverd with these modems. As the
software isn't ready it is only for experienced users, but should be
worth an short mail to aglaja@ibm.net to get the software. Hermes/2
is developed by Rossen Assenov with my slight support.
