The database contains 5,976 foods and their composition in terms of calories, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, total fat, saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, and cholesterol; vitamins A, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, folate, B12, C, and E; minerals calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, and zinc; and the essential fatty acids linoleic and linolenic. The program is completely menu-driven and there are no commands to learn. You may add your own recipes to the database.
