Warpcast stated that IBM is working on a Java version
of the internet connection phone. However, the Java version
of the IBM Internet phone only works under Windows '95/98.
It does not work under OS/2. This has been a source of some
nasty E-mails between OS/2 users (including me) and IBM's
Haifa facility. Why does an IBM division produce a Java
version of a software product that only works under Windows
'95? There is no projected release date of the Javaphone
that will work under OS/2. If someone would like to start
another E-mail campaign about this, write Tal Noy (a woman
lawyer who handles technical support for the Internet
phones) at tnoy@haifa.vnet.ibm.com.
