Hi,

In the light of PowerQuests's recent announcement on
Warpcast (29th Sep) I wanted to update you all on my
petition for an OS/2 executable in Partition Magic v4.

PowerQuest have been listening to us, the OS/2 community!
In my opinion their announcement contained two important
items;

1. Power Quest clarified that the DOS exe does recognise
HPFS and FAT EAs, but WILL require a reboot to run.

2. Due to the response from OS/2 users they, Power Quest,
ARE considering an OS/2 exe, I quote:

" I want you to know that your input has been taken quite
seriously by everyone involved * by Scott Flinders,
PowerQuest's product manager for PartitionMagic, by the
development team, and by top management.....If PowerQuest
does include a native OS/2 executable, it will come out as
a free downloadable patch."

They will report back to us in two weeks with their
decision.

Back to my petition. The response has been very good so far
and I think that it could still be useful and something PQ
may take note of. I plan to keep accepting names until
Sunday 4th Oct. I will then pass on your names and comments
to PQ on Monday 5th.

Thanks to all those who have supported this effort already,
but please do consider signing up if you haven't done so,
