 The OS/2 SIG of the Philadelphia Area Computer Society invites
 all interested computer users to attend the November meeting:

   --  Speech-Aware Computerized Maintenance Management  --
  
Dr. John Urbaniak, President of Aviar Inc. will present 
Aviar's new speech-aware CMMS, "Oz of Prevention," for OS/2 
and WSOD. Aviar pioneered speech-aware natural language DB2 
query technology with its "V Trex" product which uses Warp 
4 VoiceType Dictation. This was demonstrated by Dr Urbaniak 
at our August 1997 meeting.
  
There are over 200 CMMS products on the market, none of 
them native OS/2, until now; and none speech-aware, until 
now.
  
Oz was presented at Warpstock '98 last month in Chicago, 
where it received rave reviews by attendees. Several 
Warpstock attendees have already requested and installed 
Oz, and are now running it. The Editor-in-Chief of 
"Maintenance Technology Magazine" visited Aviar at 
Warpstock, and was so impressed by Oz that he decided
to feature the system in an upcoming issue of the magazine.
  
If your company maintains equipment, parts inventories, 
etc., or wishes to reduce maintenance cost, you should 
attend this meeting. But even if you don't currently have 
need for a CMMS, come see an example of a fully-integrated, 
speech-aware OS/2 application.
  
Other agenda items include a Q&A session, OS/2 news & new 
product announcements, SIG business matters, software 
raffle (subject to availability, etc. An OS/2 system will 
also be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as 
time may permit. Our customary free light refreshments will 
also be available.
  
Mark the date and time: Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00pm. 
If you want to hear about all the new and exciting 
developments, or have questions about OS/2 Warp and Java, 
this is the place to see OS/2 in action and get all the 
answers to your questions. OS/2 SIG meetings are open & 
free for all OS/2 users and guests, and all others 
interested in learning about OS/2.
