[WarpCast] OS/2 Netlabs says THANK YOU! - 12/23/98 |
Y2000 Pro : The solution for the Year 2000 problem in PC BIOSes. Works with OS/2, Linux and other 32-bit Operating Systems. http://www.blueskyinnovations.com/y2k.html ****************************** WarpCast ****************************** Source: Adrian Gschwend (ktk@netlabs.org) Moderator: Dirk Terrell (admin@os2ss.com) ********************************************************************** I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you in the OS/2 community. 1998 is gone soon and I think it was a very good OS/2 year, especially regarding the OS/2 Netlabs. For sure there are still all the "OS/2 is dead" people out there, just ignore them! OS/2 is alive and I'm sure we will get some VERY nice applications and tools next year. I am still working on our own webserver, I know, I do this for a long time now :-) It looks like the server will be online in a few days, so stay tuned, this will enhance the power of OS/2 Netlabs! We have a lot of great ideas, we just need more time to code all the PHP3-stuff. (BTW: If you want to support us, let me know. You should know PHP3 and MySQL). Plans we have: - an application database with a great search engine, you should find every OS/2 application you need with this thing - a new developer corner with PHP3-generated output => much more up todate - a new idea-DB, I know, the one at OS/2 Netlabs is really outdated. If it's done, you should be able to vote for your favourite idea! - I've got several mails about the organisation of the pages, I think I have to redesign the whole stuff. - CVS server for our projects - much more! Applications we will get: - GIMP/2 will be available in a native PM port next year. Don't ask me when, but there are several projects working on it! - OT: The CandyBarZ page is updated, sorry for being late :-) - several other projects, but they are secret until now :-) be prepared! For sure also thanks to all the OS/2 developers out there, you invested a lot of spare time in OS/2 Netlabs projects, I'm sure the OS/2 community is happy about this! Also a big thank you to all of you out there, we had about 1'300'000 requests to OS/2 Netlabs last year, I'm really happy about this! Let's do the same again in 1999. Merry X-Mas and a happy 1999! http://www.netlabs.org/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------
