Smart Windows V.0.82 - is available for download:

Smart Windows is an OS/2 user interface enhancer with both
aesthetical and functional features.

there are 3 different files:

this archive contains all the program files (327,445 Bytes)
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/smw082.zip

the documentation is here (168,277 Bytes of html and gif files):
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/smwd082.zip

In order to make the archive of the program files smaller
I put the titlebar bitmaps in a separate file (324,168 Bytes):
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/smwb082.zip

smw082.zip include only few titlebar bitmaps and all window
controls bitmaps.
If you still have the old archive smw081.zip you can get the
other titlebar bitmaps from there so you do not need to download
smwb082.zip

the files should be available also here:
ftp://ftp.ghostbbs.ml.cx/pub/os2/os2team/alcant/

and soon in:
ftp://volftp.tin.it/pub/pc/os2/os2_2x/progs/desktop/

I'm sorry, this is not yet the registrable version, in any
case a few bugs in the installer, preferences application
and SMARTWIN.DLL have been corrected:

  1. In systems running at 256 colors, after the system
palette was changed by some applications, the titlebar
bitmaps weren't able to reset their colors. Now the bitmaps
are refreshed and properly displayed as soon as the default
system palette is reloaded and the window owning the
titlebar gets the focus.
  2. In some cases, moving windows in rolled state, was
preventing them from being unrolled later.
  3. In some cases, OS/2 and DOS command windows were
disappearing from the screen when rolled and then unrolled.
  4. Titlebar and window controls were misplaced when
unrolling maximized windows previously rolled, when the
Override default size and position was set.
  5. The Automatic focus feature was preventing drop down
menus to work correctly in seamless winOS/2 windows.
  6. The Move the pointer to the focus window feature has
been improved.
  7. The Enable checkbox in the Functions controlled by the
mouse dialog and in the Mouse mapping page now work as
expected.
  8. The bug which prevented to set permanently negative
positions for maximized windows has been removed.

You can install it over your previous 0.81 installation
The program archive contains the full documentation in
ASCII format The other archive (smwd082.zip) contains the
same documentation in html format plus images.

I'm still working on the registrable version.
The time expiration will be removed and will be substituted
by some kind of configuration limitation which will not in
any case prevent the full test of the program. The
application will be renamed Styler/2 but the name of the
program files will be left unchanged.

My homepage, is now at http://acsoft.ghostbbs.cx, but there
is no file in the directory... I'll upload the files during next week
