PmAs v1.0 - "Astronomy for the Presentation Manager"

by Cornelis Bockemuehl

PmAs is a set of astronomically oriented programs. It
calculates positions of celestial bodies, times, risings and
settings etc. and displays the results in table and/or
graphic form, all nicely integrated in the Presentation
Manager. Because of the modular architecture of the whole,
more may be added easily and surely will be in the future.

I have been developing and using the different program
modules for years already, but only now I decided to create
a version for the public, with documentation, language
support (german and english) etc. However, the whole thing
is still "work in progress" and always will be probably, but
those interested in astronomy are invited to visit my
homepage, download the zipped archives and use them freely
for private or scientific purposes:

You probably need a minimum background knowledge of
astronomical terms and concepts if you want to make use of
the whole package, but you might be interested to just use
the graphics program which is specialized for the display of
spherical data, together with the world map data set I
included as an optional extension. (This is already provided
anticipating the eclipse and occultation program(s) which
are on the to-do list...).
