Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) ********************************************************************** FREEDOM OF CHOICE PROJECT- update Date: 02 Feb 1999 OS/2 users, programmers, and resellers! This one *is* for you-- because with help from IACT, the Freedom of Choice Project has been opened up and expanded, to reach users of *all* platforms. That includes OS/2! The Freedom of Choice Project is our 4th Action Project. It's a cooperative effort between IACT and James Capone, an IACT member as well as devoted user of Linux. We have support from the Linux Mall, and we're hoping that sites in the OS/2 community [hint, hint] will come on board as Project Associates. If you're interested in that, get in touch with me ASAP. I might send you a formal invitation anyway, later this week, but why wait? :) We are working for a long-term solution that will put an end to MSFT's exclusive distributorship with the PC makers such as Compaq, Dell, Gateway etc.. We are going to defend the fundamental right of consumers to choose any and all software that is installed on the brand new computers they buy. Obviously, we'd like them to be able to choose OS/2 with their new PCs-- so help us out, and you'll be helping the entire Warped community. Don't wait another moment. Join us in Action Project #4, your Freedom of Choice project. Details as usual are at http://pages.cthome.net/iact/iact-tell.html in the `Connections` section of our website.
