Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) ********************************************************************** Perfect Niche Software, Inc., would like to announce the update of their SMACK! for OS/2 homepage. The new layout is easily navigated and information is readily available. SMACK! is the world's first native labeling program exclusively for OS/2 Warp 3 or OS/2 Warp 4. SMACK! lets you print labels on any printer supported by OS/2, and supports almost every predefined label format. It lets you use varying fonts, color, and graphics on your labels, and control of the object placement with precision. It even supports an infinite "Undo, for those that want to experiment until you get the labels exactly the way YOU want them. SMACK! is a powerful graphical program to help you design and create mailing labels, videotape labels, envelopes and much more. It is fully Workplace Shell aware and takes advantage of OS/2's many benefits, from drag-and-drop to multithreading. The application uses templates, and REXX is its native macro language. One of SMACK!'s many strengths is its extensibility, the degree to which you can extend and customize its features. You'll be incorporating your existing applications to improve connectivity for your office or home in no time. SMACK! is currently at version 1.02. According to master programmer, Bill Schindler, SMACK! v. 2.0 is due to be released in the second quarter of 1999. You'll be amazed at the number of new features and more are being added daily! Here's just a few: * Image transparency: Support has been added to allow setting a transparent color for an image. This works like a transparent GIF, except that it works on any image. * Fractions are allowed in all measurement fields. (e.g. "1 1/8 in" is the same as "1.125 in") * Many new extensions have been added to the REXX support Oh no, I'm not going to list them all here. We want you to come and see our "new look" and browse the SMACK! pages for full details at http://www.perfectniche.com. Just select SMACK! from the menu and you're on your way!!!
