February's main presentation will focus on web site creation.
John Davey, Webmaster of the Philadelphia OS/2 SIG, will discuss
the basics of web authoring and will demonstrate the use of the
HomePage Publisher 2.1 for OS/2 to create and publish web sites.
  
HomePage Publisher is the premier WYSIWYG web editor for OS/2 and
is used by many of the major OS/2 sites on the web, including our
own Philadelphia OS/2 SIG website. John will highlight the new
features added to HPP since it was last demonstrated it two years
ago, such as the Smart Publishing feature which makes on the fly
changes to a site fast and easy.
  
John will also discuss the way to get a web site up and running
inexpensively, based on his recent "Frugal Webmaster" series of
articles in the PACS DataBus newsletter.
  
If you ever wondered how a web site gets started and developed,
be sure to join us on February 24.
  
Other agenda items include SIG business matters, OS/2 news and new
product announcements, a brief "How-To" or "Neat Feature" member
presentation, Q&A session, software raffle, etc. An OS/2 system
will be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as time
may permit. Free light refreshments will also be available.
  
Mark the date and time: Wednesday, February 24, at 7:00pm. If you
want to hear about all the new and exciting developments, or have
questions about OS/2 Warp and Java, this is the place to see OS/2
in action and get all the answers to your questions. OS/2 SIG
meetings are open & free for all OS/2 users and guests, and all
