 Freedom of Choice
  Project Update
____________________

TO: OS/2 users, programmers, resellers & consultants
DATE: 02 March 1999
FROM: Diane Gartner and James Capone

"Freedom of Choice" is a team effort by project developer
James Capone and the International Alliance for Compatible
Technology, plus our Associates and supporters, to put an
end to Microsoft's exclusive distributorship with Compaq,
Dell, Gateway and other PC companies you know. Whether you
are a home or business user, software developer,
distributor or re-seller of OS/2, you are invited to be
part of the team-- to join us in stopping the
pre-installation [bundling or tying] of Microsoft software
on the computers sold, bought and used across the world.

With help from our Associates and supporters, our Project
is drawing great answers and comments from the entire OS/2
community-- and we're ready 'n' waiting for more of you to
respond now! As quickly as new forms are being submitted to
us each day, we're compiling and preparing them for
delivery to the PC companies. We've already e-mailed
batches of compiled responses to a range of local retailers
and international companies-- Toshiba, Dell, Compaq,
Gateway, Microsoft, Sun, Acer, Apple, E Machine, HP, IBM,
VS, Circuit City, Radio Shack et al.

We'd like to keep up that pace and maybe even expand the
Freedom of Choice Project further. You can help us do that
just by posting Project links and announcements at your
website, newsgroup, mailing list etc., and by forwarding
this Update to your friends and colleagues. So be sure to
bookmark our websites and e-mail addresses listed below,
and get in touch with us to request an Invitation Kit if
you're interested in becoming a Project Associate.

We do ask one favor of you, along with our Associates'
own members, subscribers or clients. We'd like for all of
you to be sure to fill out the Required Information areas
on the form. The required areas are small but important.
Important areas include Company Contact info, Comments and
E-mail addresses, plus checking *OS/2* as one of the
operating systems of choice! Such information must be
filled out to ensure that the forms have maximum impact on
the PC companies.
