There is one more game development library.
It's cross-platform (Linux, Solaris, BeOS, Win32)!
It's actively developed! And it's open source!
It's called SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) and
still does not have an OS/2 port. But a number of 
developers work on comercial-grade games based on it 
(right now I can point to Linux port of Hopkins:F.B.I. and 
Civilization: Call To Power).
