Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) +-------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS/2 Product Marketing/Sales Position Available ASAP Rate: Negotiable, Based on Experience Utah, Utah County 801 OS/2 Product Marketing/Sales Position This position will have both a product marketing and sales aspect to it. Functions of each are described below. Product Marketing - Overall responsibility for OS/2 product line including business cases, ROI and product road maps. Currently, this includes the following products. - StandbyServer for OS/2 Warp - Co-StandbyServer for OS/2 Warp - Co-StandbyServer for Warp Server for E-Business (Aurora) - Primary contact for development and business managers from IBM NCSD, Austin, TX. - Responsible for marketing material content, PowerPoint presentations, white papers and data sheets. - Work closely with engineering to determine product feature sets, publish development schedules and set product strategies. - Capable of discovering additional product/relationship opportunities with IBM NCSD. - Comfortable with participating in product specific press announcements and activities. Sales Note: Client OS/2 sales are typically larger, more complex sales that are often better served by being coordinated using resources from the company. Field sales managers play a key roll in helping to identify and qualify potential customers. Corporate resources are used to provide product explanation, assist in pilot or proof of concept activities and resolve technical issues. To this end the following sales characteristics are desirable. - Strong knowledge of our client's OS/2 products and of general network design and concepts. - Good customer presence. - Knowledge/experience with a formal sales process - identify, qualify, present, resolve issues, close. - Good communication skills - written/verbal This position is open to US Citizens and Greencard holders only.
