Although they don't mention OS/2 specifically, and instead 
say it allows the customer to install any version of Linux 
that they like, IBM has said that they plan on selling 
laptops without any operating system installed:

"'We plan to ship a base machine without
any operating system on it so you could load any
form of Linux you want,' [Phil Hester, chief technology 
officer for IBM's Personal Systems Group] said."

Laptops that are Linux compatible are very likely to be 
OS/2 compatible as well.
