Every Monday and Thursday, I'll be reporting on
OS/2-related items for sale on http://www.ebay.com and the
comp.os.os2.marketplace newsgroup. Even if you're not
thinking about buying anything OS/2 related, you might find
something that catches your interested.

As always, there are copies of OS/2 2.x, Warp 3, and Warp 4
available for sale, as well as some Lotus software.

I was asked to remind everyone of a certain obscure fact.
When you are looking to buy used software, please keep in
mind that MOST used software is NOT upgradeable. If you
are looking to purchase a piece of software with the
thought of upgrading it (either right away or later), you
should ask the seller if the full license is being
transferred to you if you buy it. Many people sell older
versions of their software because they just upgraded,
which means the older version can no longer be upgraded by
anyone else.

Also, please keep in mind that it may take some creativity
to find all the OS/2-compatible software and hardware
available on eBay. Many people not familiar with OS/2
often misspell it, or they don't put "OS/2" in the title.

This week you'll find five old Hobbes CD's and two OS/2
Collection CD-ROM's for sale. There's also a copy of
Lantastic for OS/2, Back Again/2, Clearlook (the word
processor), Microsoft Word, HyperAccess, the "Review"
document management software, Perfomance Plus V3, and
Relish 2.2.

For programmers, we have The Waite Group's OS/2
Programmer's Reference book and Digital Smalltalk/V 1.3, a
copy of Watcom C/C++, and a combination of OS/2 Warp 3 and
IBM VisualAge C++ 3.0.

On comp.os.os2.marketplace, you'll find a copy of OS/2 2.0,
OS/2 2.1, and the book "OS/2 Certification Handbook".

Those of you looking to sell your OS/2 related stuff, I
strongly recommend you put it on eBay and post an
announcement on comp.os.os2.marketplace. If you include the
word "OS/2" in the title of your description, I'll see it
and include it in the next report.
