[WarpCast] OS/2 eBay Report - 8/28/99 |
Coming August 1999 -- Inet.Mail Pro 1.5 Virtual domains on a single ip address, increased performance, and more from the best mail server for OS/2. http://www.hethmon.com -- sales@hethmon.com ****************************** WarpCast ****************************** Source: (Timur_Tabi@Dell.com) Moderator: Christopher B. Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) ********************************************************************** Every Monday, I'll be reporting on OS/2-related items for sale on http://www.ebay.com and the comp.os.os2.marketplace newsgroup. Even if you're not thinking about buying anything OS/2 related, you might find something that catches your interest. I've given up reporting on Yahoo! Auctions. The only thing ever offered that's OS/2-related are various older versions of OS/2. If that every changes, I'll mention it. But until then, I don't think anyone should waste their time with Yahoo! Auctions. On eBay, there are several copies of OS/2 2.x, Warp 3, Warp 4, and Lotus applications available for sale. There are also a number of OS/2 books available. One item of note is OS/2 2.0 LA - released in 1991, whereas the standard 2.0 was released in 1992. A collector's item, for sure. In the software category, we have: FaxWorks Pro LAN, DeScribe 5, Excel 3.0, Drive Image 2.0, Comm Manager/2 1.11, Object Desktop 1.5, PKZIP, Nova Back, and Sim City. For programmers, we have MSC 5.1 (great for driver programmers), more Borland C++ books, DB2/2, and Borland C++ 1.0 for OS/2. On comp.os.os2.marketplace, we have: various versions of OS/2 and one person who is selling a bunch of OS/2 software (12 items), 2 books, one CD, and a couple of DOS games for $100. Those of you looking to sell your OS/2 related stuff, I strongly recommend you put it on eBay and post an announcement on comp.os.os2.marketplace. If you include the word "OS/2" in the title of your description, I'll see it and include it in the next report. If you're looking for OS/2 items on eBay, search on the phrase ("OS/2",OS2), including the parentheses. -- Timur Tabi Workstation BIOS Engineer, Dell Computer ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------
