Warpstock 99 - Atlanta, October 16-17, 1999 Two fun filled days of OS/2 and YOU! Registration discount has been extended to October 14th! Visit http://www.warpstock.org for full details Source: (Timur_Tabi@Dell.com) Moderator: Christopher B. Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) ********************************************************************** Every Monday, I'll be reporting on OS/2-related items for sale on http://www.ebay.com and the comp.os.os2.marketplace newsgroup. Even if you're not thinking about buying anything OS/2 related, you might find something that catches your interest. On eBay, there are several copies of OS/2 2.x, Warp 3, Warp 4, and Lotus applications available for sale, as well as several OS/2 books, mostly for OS/2 2.x or Warp 3. We have this week: Sytos Plus Backup, IBM Extended Services, OS/2 Remote Vision for Token Ring, MS Excel for OS/2 demo, DeScribe, Corel Draw 2.5, McAfee Virus Scan, IBM DB2/2 v1 and 1.11, Communications Manager/2, ObjectStore for OS/2, Drive Image 2.0, IBM Communications Server, Hamilton C shell for OS/2, and Extra! Mainframe for OS/2. For the collector, we have tons of stuff, and I mean a lot: a huge roll of OS/2 stickers, an OS/2 ambassador award, a Microsoft OS/2 name tag, an OS/2 diskette box, an OS/2 sun shade, and two large OS/2 banners. There are also a number of old magazines and CD's, like OS/2 Monthly 1-9 and an OS/2 Professional CD-ROM. We also have a huge selection of stuff for programmers: C Set++ 2.1, Brief for DOS and OS/2, Borland C++, Visual Age C++ 3.0, VisualAge Smalltalk, Watcom C/C++ 10.6 and 11.0, Watcom Fortran 10.6, Prominaire Designer 5a and Validator 2a, SOMObjects for OS/2, Hockware VisPro C++, Watcom VX-Rexx, RimStar Editor, another copy of C Set++, and DevCon 10 (arguably the best DevCon ever). There are also several books, like IBM Smalltalk Programming for Windows and OS/2 and CUA IBM Advanced Interface Design Guide-OS2. If you're programmer, you really need to check out eBay today. Those of you looking to sell your OS/2 related stuff, I strongly recommend you put it on eBay and post an announcement on comp.os.os2.marketplace. If you include the word "OS/2" in the title of your description, I'll see it and include it in the next report. If you're looking for OS/2 items on eBay, search on the phrase ("OS/2",OS2), including the parentheses. -- Timur Tabi Workstation BIOS Engineer, Dell Computer ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------
