Warpstock Inc., has appointed the nominating committee which consists
of two from the present Board of Directors, John Ratti and Judy
McDermott, and two members from last years event team, Stan Sidlov and
Jason Kowalczyk.

Four Board of Director positions are nearing term and we are accepting
nominations for candidates to fill these positions.

Anyone may be nominated, including those on the nomination committee
and those whose term will be expiring.

Based upon your candidate nomination, information input, and
information provided by the candidate, the nominating committee will
complete a thorough review and prepare a slate of candidates which will
be presented to the Warpstock Board of Directors.

The current Board of Directors will vote to approve or reject each of
the proposed candidates. Once the "New" board members are in place, the
Board will then hold their own election which will determine the
position to be held by each member.

Criteria:
1. Must have personally attended at least one Warpstock annual
conference within the last three (3) years.
2. No two members of the same family or same company may serve
concurrently on the Board.
3. No nomination shall be accepted unless the nominee has given
assurance of willingness to fulfill the responsibilities and duties of
the office for which he is nominated.
4. Nominations must be submitted by October 8, 1999.

Include the following in your nomination:

1. Name and email address of candidate (confirm that candidate will
accept prior to nominating)
2. What is the candidate's OS/2 background
3. What experience, if any, does candidate have with Warpstock
4. Candidate's experience with volunteer-run and grass roots
organizations
5. Why do you feel this person should be selected for this position

*Note: All candidates will also be notified by email and asked to
provide the nominating committee with the above information.

Please send nominations to nominate@warpstock.org no later than October
8, 1999.

The new Board of Directors will be announced at Warpstock 99.

Thank you,

Warpstock, Inc., Nominating Committee
