This isn't really new news but I thought it would be useful
to owners of Dell Latitude CPi notebooks (and possibly
others using the TI 1131 chipset).

For those of you who have been struggling (like I have) for
months attempting to get PCMCIA working under OS/2 with my
Latitude a recent note in a news group suggests using the
following socket services driver (ss2pcic2.sys):

  ftp://ftp.uni-leipzig.de/pub/os2/boulder/os2/os2ddpak/ss2pcic2.exe

It MUST be this version, dated 6-16-97.

I am using this file with the lastest PC Card Director
files from IBM but the originator of the news group post
(Mark Jiang) is using the PCMCIA.SYS that comes with Warp
4.

I am now successfully running my PCMCIA modem under OS/2
for the first time!
