October 1999, Reno - Phoenix Software announced today the release of
the Beta 2 of the Think Tool Pro, a multi-use, desktop database and
information manager for OS/2 based PC's. 

"The Think Tool Pro has been in development a long time, but I
believe it was well worth the wait," said Robert Blake, Business
Manager of Phoenix Software. "We are looking forward to getting
feedback on the Beta 2 from our registered Beta 2 testers," he added.

"This version of the Think Tool Pro isn't perfect, but it's pretty
good for a Beta," explained Peter Martin, lead developer at Phoenix
Software. "We hope to make the GA (General Availability) version
available by late October or early November, but the exact ship date
of the GA version will depend a lot on the feedback from our Beta 2
testers," he explained. 

The Think Tool Pro is a fully-featured database and information
manager. The highlights of the Think Tool Pro include:

  The Think Tool Pro offers multiple product functionality in one
  product: database, Personal Information Manager, and graphical file
  manager.

  A completely user-configurable interface allows anyone to
  rearrange the way data is presented, organized and linked (without
  programming) to best meet all of the wants and needs of the user. 

  Comes in a "ready to use out of the box" manner

  Completely flexible data linking and relationship capabilities

  Capable of scaling from small to large databases

  Multimedia sound, image and video capability

  The Think Tool Pro is native to OS/2

  OS/2 Work Place Shell Integration

Think Tool Pro requires a PC running OS/2 Warp 3.0 or later with a
100MHz Pentium processor and 32MB of RAM. An OS/2 compatible sound
card and microphone are optional to take advantage of Think Tool
Pro's multimedia capability.
