[WarpCast] Randomizer - Universal Random Item Selector - 11/15/99 |
PMView: The ultimate in image viewing Major update coming soon! Watch http://www.pmview.com/ for details ********************************************************************* Source: freiheit (freiheit@tstonramp.com) Moderator: Christopher B. Wright (wrightc@dtcweb.com) ********************************************************************** Randomizer is a sort of universal random item selector. The user sets up the fields from which to choose items and then populates those fields. Randomizer then selects one item from each field and displays the list of its choices. There is no set list of either fields or items, so you could use this program for anything from picking numbers randomly from a given pool or creating entire random characters for a novel you're writing (which happens to be one use of mine). There may be other uses for Randomizer, especially if you call it from another REXX program or script. The possibilities are (nearly) endless and entirely up to you. http://www.tstonramp.com/~freiheit/Randomizer.zip This software is free and open-source, but if you find it useful I would enjoy hearing from you! I can think of numerous ways to use Randomizer and would like to know how you employ it. +---------------- | Don K.
