Back Again/2000, the new OS/2 backup product from the Back Again/2
crew (CDS Inc.), will have its technology presented by Brent Bowlby
of CDS this coming Saturday in Southern California.

"I'll be demonstrating our new Back Again/2000 product for OS/2,"
says Brent, "and how the new product gives you more backup options,
more flexibility, greater speed, a new compression engine, and a new
tape format that gives you more cross-platform options."

The presentation will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday January 15 at the
monthly meeting of the Southern California OS/2 User Group (SCOUG).
For directions, see:

  http://www.scoug.com/directions.html

"I'm excited, we're all excited," says Mark Abramowitz, the SCOUG
Program Chairman and the man who set up the Back Again/2000
presentation. "CDS develops backup software for more than just the
OS/2 platform, and they are showing their commitment to OS/2 with
this newly written release. We'll be learning about bells and
whistles that simply weren't available in backup software a couple of
years ago, we'll be getting support for new backup hardware that
isn't supported by older backup software, and CDS will be showing us
how to back up to this new hardware, the best way to set your
options, how to back up over a network, in fact how to back up an
entire network with Back Again/2000."

Arrive a few minutes early for a good seat.

The address is 600 Anton Boulevard, 2nd floor, Costa Mesa, Calif. The
Thomas Guide Map page and coordinates are 859.D4, and there's a map
available from the SCOUG "Directions" page above. Parking is
perplexing if it's your first time at a SCOUG meeting so, again, see
the "Directions" page. DON'T park in the 600 Anton lot - they'll
charge you. Park in the multiacre outdoor parking lot diagonally
across the intersection (where a restaurant is under construction),
or park in the multi-level parking structure behind TGIF's Restaurant
(accessible from Avenue of the Arts) - the gate will be up and
parking is free.
