Sorry for the 5-week hiatus. Unfortunately, I'll be gone for 2 weeks in February, but hopefully everything will be back to normal soon after I get back. Every Monday, I'll be reporting on OS/2-related items for sale on http://www.ebay.com and the comp.os.os2.marketplace newsgroup. Even if you're not thinking about buying anything OS/2 related, you might find something that catches your interest. Ironically, during the Holiday season, the number of items available for auction on eBay dwindles by about 50%. Everything's back to normal now, and there's a healthy selection of OS/2-related items on eBay and other sites. On eBay, there are several copies of OS/2 2.x, Warp 3, Warp 4, and Lotus applications available for sale, as well as several OS/2 books, mostly for OS/2 2.x or Warp 3. In particular, some boxes of OS/2 2.x come with those very rare OS/2 stickers. This week we have: A number of foreign language Notes applications (I can't tell from the description what's really being sold - these items are a great example of how NOT to write descriptions); Stacker for OS/2 and DOS; two MPEG fixpack installation guides and disks for IBM Thinkpads; and a "rare" [sic] copy of GammaTech Utilities. For collectors, we have: an OS/2 floppy disk box; a springy pen; a bumper sticker; a collection of normal stickers; For programmers, we have: Kase:Set; Visualizer Database for OS/2; Watcom Fortran 9.5; Gupta SQLBase server and client; and C Set++. There are also a couple hard-to-find books, like WPS Programming and The Art of OS/2 Warp Programming. On Yahoo Auctions, there are a couple versions of OS/2 and some books. On comp.os.os2.marketplace, there is: Process Commander; Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus; SmartSuite; OD Pro; Mesa 2; Relish; and In Charge. Those of you looking to sell your OS/2 related stuff, I strongly recommend you put it on eBay and post an announcement on comp.os.os2.marketplace. If you include the word "OS/2" in the title of your description, I'll see it and include it in the next report. If you're looking for OS/2 items on eBay, search on the phrase ("OS/2",OS2), including the parentheses. ------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ -------------------------------------------------------
