See http://www.pmview.com/ for details ********************************************************************* Source: Roderick Klein (rwklein@wxs.nl) Moderator: Trevor Smith (trevor@haligonian.com) ------------------------------------------------------- Today (March 3rd, 2000), Sander (van Leeuwen?) of the ODIN M.A.D. team (Management, Administration, Decision-making) wrote that he believes the ODIN development team is just one day away from a working Quake 3 / Voodoo 2 3D conversion from Win32 to OS/2. He wrote, in part: If tomorrow's daily build can be compiled without problems, then you'll be able to run and play Quake 3 if you own a Voodoo 2 3D card. (voodoo 1 untested) Reportedly audio and network support are not yet working but may be possible in the future. Odin is the name of the project and software that allows users to run Win32 (Windows 95 and Windows NT) applications in OS/2 Warp operating system natively, almost as if they were intended to be OS/2 applications in the first place. It also makes porting from Win32 to OS/2 easier by providing a Win32 API implementation in OS/2: the Odin32 API.
