Meeting Details:

First and explanation of the special day. As many of you may know the
NYPC moved its General Meeting to the 2nd Wednesday of the month late
last year. This was because of scheduling issues with P.S. 41, where
the meetings take place. March is always election month at NYPC and
we want to give everyone the opportunity to vote at the meeting for
those who choose not to vote by mail. During our Q&A time on
Thursday, we will discuss the possibility of permanently moving the
day to a different day of the month. The NYPC General Meetings are
starting to become "more diverse" (i.e. not just Windows this,
Windows that) and thus there may be more appeal to attend the General
Meeting. It would be unfair to the membership to have to choose
between two good meetings. Again we will discuss this matter openly
at our meeting during the Q&A session, so be sure to get there on
time.

Now for the March Meeting:

We will have not one, but two special guests, Kim Cheung, Executive
Director, Serenity Systems International, Marketing Directory
TouchVoice Corporation; and Chris Stumpf of C.S.E. Computer Services,
a Serenity Systems Channel Partner.

They will be demonstrating various software packages from the
Serenity product line. How they're going to fit everything in to two
and a half hours, I have no idea; but I'm sure everyone will be
anxious to find out.

Ever want to run a PC based PBX System and have the rock solid
reliability of OS/2 as the foundation? Then come and see WisePath and
TouchVoice's other products. You will see a PBX system so mean and
lean it runs on a computer that in today's world most people would
just call a boat anchor.

And if that's not enough they will also demonstrate how to manage ALL
of your clients (OS/2 & Windows) from one very special Warp Server.

And finally....

If you like what we have to offer, please join NYPC as member. For
your $45 membership you will have access to the most diverse group of
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and the people who care that make
them tick. We now have over two dozen SIGs, including Cisco, Palm
Pilot, Investing, iMac, Speech Recognition, Web Development,
Streaming Media, C++ and much, much more. All this in addition to our
favorite SIG, OS/2. So please do your part to help out the
organization that makes all this possible. Thank you.
