It can be downloaded by clicking Services->Update/Re-Install Software in your Dialer, or manually downloaded from the AT&T Business Internet Services web site from either of the following: ftp://ftp.attglobal.net/pub/client/os2/install.exe http://www.attbusiness.net/softctr/software.html This version is a re-branding of the IBM Dialer to AT&T, and includes some enhancements and fixes. AT&T Dialer for OS/2 - Version 1.70.0 - Mar 31, 2000 System Requirements: - For OS/2 Warp 3, OS/2 FixPak 42 should be installed. - For OS/2 Warp 4, OS/2 FixPak 11 should be installed. Enhancements and Modifications: - Re-branded the Dialer to AT&T. - Changed copyright and legal agreement to AT&T. - Added a 'setup wizard' for initial setup of required fields. The setup is also accessible in the 'Network' menu of the the main Dialer window. - Redesigned and enhanced the 'Select a phone number to call' window to: - Display a phone number selection list based on the values chosen in the 'Current Location' window. - Allows the 'Number to dial' field to be edited and the modified number can be saved to a custom phone number file. - Removed the 'Add to custom phone list' button. When the 'Number to dial' is modified, and 'OK' button clicked, a pop-up message asks if you want to save the custom number. - Added a 'Remove' button that is enabled when a Custom phone number is selected. You can remove the entry from the Custom phone number file. - Added a 'Current Location' button to display the 'Current Location' window. - Added a 'Show ISDN numbers' checkbox to show only ISDN number for the selected country or region. - For the 'Number of retries' spinbutton, added the selection choice of '0'. - The 'State' entry field has been renamed to 'Region'. - Fixed the 'Country' and 'Region' entry fields to no longer be editable. - The default Protocol was changed to PPP. - Improved performance in loading the country and phone lists. - On the 'Phone' page of the 'Settings Notebook': - If only one location profile is defined, grayed out the dropdown listbox. - Added a 'Remove Secondary' button to delete the selected backup phone number. - Removed the 'Do not apply Location data to access number' checkbox. - Fixed the problem where if a city contained a hyphen, the city was displayed without the hyphen, and the hyphen appeared on the end of the phone number. - On the 'Current Location' window: - If only one location profile is defined, grayed out the dropdown listbox. - Added a checkbox and entry field to store a calling card number. Data in this field will be added to the phone number in the selection list on the 'Select a phone number to call' window. - If the 'call waiting' checkbox is checked, the 'local' and 'long distance' prefix entry fields are no longer blanked out. - If the country selected is the United States and the area code field is blank, a warning message box is now display to enter the area code. - Added a new command line parameter to choose the identity profile. The new parameter,-f=######, will override the selected identity profile in the 'Setting Notebook'. - For Internet users who check "Update Netscape Options" on the 'Behavior' page of the 'Settings Notebook, the Dialer will now also update the 'Email Address' and the 'Home Page' fields. This update feature now also supports Netscape for OS/2 Versions 4.04 and 4.61. - Added function to verify the phone number to be dialed still exists in the phone list. If it doesn't, the user cannot dial that number until a number from the phone list is selected. - Fixed problem where you can't authenticate or access the Internet with a socksified TCP/IP stack. - Fixed the Modem Autodetection function to check for a long distance prefix on the 'Current Location' window for the 1-800 test phone number. - Removed the limit of 3 failed password tries and the dialer hangs up. The dialer will now keep retrying until the entered password is accepted or an error message is received from the gateway. - On 'Identity' page of the 'Settings Notebook', if only one profile is defined, the dropdown listbox and the 'Remove' button are grayed out. - Fixed problem where in some versions of TCP/IP, the Dialer's help file was installed in a non-pathed MPTN\HELP subdirectory, rendering it unaccessible. - Fixed problem where the Dialer would keep retrying to dial if 'busy' instead of hanging up after the selected number of retries. - Fixed problem of not properly handling the modem 'NO CARRIER' response. - On 'Login' window, changed the 'Location access number' field from editable to read only. - On the 'Customer Assistance' window, fixed the country entry field to be read only. Also added country and phone lists dates. - On the dropdown list for the 'Help' menu on the main Dialer window, the 'Product Information' selection has been renamed to 'About this Dialer...'. And when you click on this selection, a popup dialog box is now display instead of Help text. The product information has been removed from the Help text. - On the 'Identity' page of the 'Settings Notebook', fixed the problem where more than 10 profiles could be created which affected the tenth profile. - If a user changes the account ID or the UserID for an Identity profile, the password is now deleted on the 'Login' window. - Removed the license agreement section from the Help text. - Removed displaying DosWaitChild and PoundSlipOrPPP messages in main Dialer window. - Occasionally, users would see the message 'The AgentConfigServer returned an Error TCA2019E' displayed. A description of the error will now also be displayed. - On the 'Tracing' page of the 'Settings Notebook', the 'Enable complete diagnostics' function required a file, dialdiag.cmd, to be installed.
