The OS/2 SIG of the Philadelphia Area Computer Society invites all
interested computer users to attend the June meeting:

       WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2000 7:00 - 10:00 PM
The Episcopal Academy, 376 N. Latches Lane, Merion, PA

           *** JUNE FEATURE PRESENTATION ***
     -- WARPTECH REPORT & DCITU PRESENTATION/DEMO --

Main feature at the June meeting will be a double presentation by SIG
member Jim Nuytens.

Jim and Denise attended the WarpTech event in Phoenix, sponsored by
POSSI, over the 3-day Memorial Day holiday weekend. Jim will report
on his experiences at WarpTech, including his impressions of Steven
King's presentation on the current status of OS/2 as it relates to
both IBM's corporate customers and home users. He will also show
digital photographs that were taken at WarpTech with his new Olympus
D340R camera.

Additionally, Jim will demonstrate DCITU, Digital Camera Image
Transfer Utility. DCITU is a native OS/2 program that works with
several popular cameras, including a number of the Kodak 200 series
cameras, Nikon CoolPix, Minolta Dimage, Epson PhotoPC, and several
others.

Larry Lavins will report on the current status of FixPak-13 and the
problems encountered by many OS/2 users. He also expects to have his
newly-built computer on hand, and will discuss its hardware
components, costs, etc.

Other agenda items include SIG business matters, OS/2 news, new
software releases, Q&A session, software raffle, etc. An OS/2 system
will be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as time
permits. Free light refreshments will also be available.

Mark the date and time: Wednesday, June 28th, at 7:00pm, to hear
about all the new and exciting developments, or if you have questions
about OS/2 Warp and Java. OS/2 SIG meetings are open and free for
OS/2 users, their guests and all others interested in learning about
OS/2 and associated Java technology.
