As you know, there are a lot of applications that have been ported to
OS/2 from unix. Most of them require emxrt
(http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?key=emxrt.zip) to operate.
emxrt is a set of DLLs that contain the most used in unix functions
compiled under OS/2 with gcc v2.8.

gcc 2.8 is a great C compiler, but there is also another C compiler,
named pgcc.
It is nothing but pentium-optimized version of gcc plus some
advantages, because it is based on more recent version of gcc
(2.9.3).

Due to these advantages we switched our compilers to pgcc some time
ago. For most users who are using our ports of different software
originally developed for unix, it means that they required to find
and to install some additional dlls. For example, from this location:

  http://teamos2.ru/en,download,dlls$html

Note, that the TNEF application as well as PXTOOLS and maybe some
other applications already require these DLLs.

So, if in the future you try to run our ports and get messages like
'system cannot find gcc29166' (sys1804), you need to download and to
install these additional DLLs:

often for new OS/2 ports!
