Web Modifier Injoy Edition version 1.3 was just released!

Web Modifier Injoy Edition version 1.3, dynamically updates web page. This version is integrated with the Injoy Dialer by FX Communications.(r)

Web Modifier Injoy Edition is a program that is designed to allow a user with a dial up connection to dynamically change an internet web page. This gives a user with dial up service the ability to be a Web Server, FTP Server, and Telnet Host. This program is designed to be used with the Injoy Dialer from FX Communications (r). The program gives the user the ability to modify an HTML document to include HTTP, FTP, and TELNET links to the computer running the Web Modifier. This gives the user the freedom to have a small web site on the internet without purchasing a domain or static IP address.

This update fixes a functionality bug in the FTP section of the Web Modifier Injoy edition. Added a log to keep track of the errors during unattended operation.Free Registration means that you can register right over the internet to receive updates etc.

The programmer of XFolder, Ulrich Moeller, needs help to develop his SupaDupa-WPS-Enhancer, because there's a lot to do and he doesn't have much time to realize it before he'll die ;). If you are a experienced WPS and PM programmer with knowledge of the classes and internals of OS/2, then go to:

http://www2.rz.hu-berlin.de/~h0444vnd/xfldr.htm

download the package, enjoy it and help to develop it.

JMA Technologies shipped the fourth beta of MultiNote. This is the first beta in two years :-( MultiNote allows you to save different texts (information) in a uniform way. With Multinote you associate every text (ascii text, typed or from a file) with a searchable title. You define what information is related, MultiNote stores it for you.

With MultiNote you cn arrange your information in three levels:

  1. You can have several database files
  2. Each file has 15 divisions (tabs)
  3. In each tabs you can have more than a thousand items (titles and text)

Its hard to describe MultiNote in words, try it out !!! For more information please visit our web site at:

or contact us by e-mail at:

NFTP 1.52 has been released 10 April 1999. This version fixes bugs found in 1.51 (one of them rather annoying; NFTP did not delete temporary files). OS/2 packages includes VIO, quasi-PM, terminal (to be run under xterm ) and X11 versions. User interface translations have reached 19 languages. You can download a copy from:

The following was recently posted to comp.os.os2.advocacy by the Interim Editor-in-Chief of EDM/2:

EDM/2 is back in business with a new editorial team and a new issue for April '99.

The apparent lack of activity on the site for the past few months has been due to our learning the ropes and taking on the awesome responsibilities that Carsten has been performing for so long.

But we think you'll agree that the current issue has been worth the wait. We have three solid articles, including one by David Zimmerli on a newly discovered OS/2 API. We also have a host of new items in the news column and a new book review by Carsten.

Enjoy!

A week ago I made an announcement for a beta test of SecureDesktop. Only 3 (in words three) people showed interest. That's not enough for me. I will wait now another week before I send out the beta version. If there are no more interests then the project will die - Sorry.

Regards J. Dankoweit

There is one more game development library. It's cross-platform (Linux, Solaris, BeOS, Win32)! It's actively developed! And it's open source! It's called SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) and still does not have an OS/2 port. But a number of developers work on comercial-grade games based on it (right now I can point to Linux port of Hopkins:F.B.I. and Civilization: Call To Power).
