2005-07-31 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eComStation News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Eugene Romanenko (Posted on comp.os.os2.apps) LimeWire 4.9.11 released - http://www.limewire.com/english/content/downloadfree.shtml Since version 4.9 LimeWire dropped support for Java 1.3.x and now requires Java 1.4.1 or higher in orger to run. Just tested it with Innotek JVM and Goldencode JVM. Looks like it have small problem with Innotek jvm - it sometimes dropped connections when OOB search enabled (OOB search can be disabled in limewire's settings). With goldencode jvm it runs just fine. Full changelog here - http://www.limewire.com/english/content/features_history.shtml - see 4.9.0 for main changes since 4.8. 2005-07-31 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eComStation News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: "Peter Weilbacher" (Posted on: news://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.public.mozilla.os2 ) Hi all, I just made available my build of 1.7.11 on http://weilbacher.org/Mozilla/builds.html (you may have to reload the frame) which should fix all known security problems and the two issues with 1.7.10. As an experimental feature I also release an update package that contains all files that changed since 1.7.8. You should be able to just unpack it over an existing 1.7.8 installation, it worked here but it might not work in all cases on other machines. (As I didn't see much of a point in releasing a 1.7.10 myself I couldn't create an update from that version which would have been a much smaller download.) -- Cheers, Peter. 2005-08-05 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eComStation News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Paul Smedley Hi All, I've just created a Warpin installation package for the Tame 1.00 executables, plus latest USB Sane, latest faxview, latest nconvert & usb drivers. This should help solve some of the confusion some people have had getting Tame + USB Sane to work. The installation package should automatically update any old versions of usbresmg.sys & remove any copies of usbscan.sys that can prove problematic. It will also update SANE_CONFIG_DIR to point to the tame\conf directory. I'd appreciate any feedback. Warpin file can be downloaded from http://smedley.info/sane.html Cheers, Paul. Top
