I am sure there will be some problems, but if you have used DrawIt please try it and provide feedback. I intend to having it working as well as DrawIt 3.5 and add an Open Watcom build environment. I do not intend to maintain the program. Url: http://www.mgreene.org/tmp/sketchit.zip Submitted with the form on http://www.os2world.com/submit_news.php Top

2006-10-12 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Mark Dodel I see that there is a release candidate for Open Watcom 1.6, both c and Fortran versions as of October 11. 2006-10-13 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Peter Weilbacher, Posted on: news://number1.nntp.dca.giganews.com/mozilla.dev.ports.os2 ** Please reply in newsgroup ** I have produced OS/2 packages of Sunbird and Lightning v0.3, the current Mozilla calendaring solutions. While Sunbird is a standalone program (the usual restrictions about running in parallel with other Mozilla apps apply!), Lightning is an extension for Thunderbird. See http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/ for more details. As I have just compiled the official sources the packages are not available from my webpage but instead I got the Calendar team to upload them to http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/sunbird/releases/0.3/contrib/ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/0.3/contrib/ Let me know, preferably via this group or Bugzilla, if you find any OS/2 specific bugs. Peter. P.S.: Note that no work is being done to further develop the Calendar extension for the Mozilla Suite and SeaMonkey! Top

2006-10-14 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Sander Nyman <2sanderDESPAM@DESPAMsbcglobal.net> Thanks to Peter Weibacher's efforts, a port of the Mozilla Thunderbird calendaring extension "Lightning" version 0.3 is now available. On at least *some* installations of both the official, and Peter's unofficial version of Thunderbird, after installing Lightning, Thunderbird will not re-open. If this should happen to your installation, you can easily uninstall Lightning cleanly by right clicking on the Thunderbird object, selecting Properties, and entering -safe-mode in the Parameters box. When you restart Thunderbird, go to the menu bar, and click on Tools -> Extensions. Right click on the Lightning extension, and select Uninstall. Shut Thunderbird down, remove -safe-mode from the Parameters box, and you can now start Thunderbird as expected. Good luck, Sander Nyman Top
2006-10-14 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Mark Dodel Wolfgang Draxler has released a new update to WDSibyl on the netlabs ftp site. It is listed on his web site as a beta release. There are both OS/2 and Win32 sources and binaries. Help is in both German and English. I am not sure what has changed but there are a number of updated files in the different zip archives. Homepage (In German, Dutch and English): http://members.chello.at/webstar/wdsibyl.html "This is a Pascal-Compiler which processes a language closely related to »Delphi«." Download:ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/wdsibyl/wdsibyl/Install_20061015.zip Support is provided through: International: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.org.netlabs.sibyl.devel German language: http://www.commtalk.de/ (currently below: OS/2 Development) From the included IDE.TXT file, translated from German using Babel Fish: "WDSibyl is an advancement of Sibyl, which was developed some years ago by the company Speedsoft and given up then. The original to source of the IDE are subject the GPL (general Public License) and are down loadable by Hobbes. The original source of RTL, SPCC etc. was made available by SpeedSoft already some years ago on their homepage. Since the company Speedsoft nolonger exists, I have to compile begun this source and it developed after longer time into "WDSibyl". With this product also come some innovations (e.g. USB -, ODBC - are, Joystick support, storing the position and colors of the component, some classes of other persons etc..) and a quantity of corrections. My changes and/or extension of the source are subject also to GPL. I do not take responsibility for direct or indirect damage by the use of the product. But if someone has an error or a problem with WDSibyl, I am pleased about feedback by E-Mail. Since I cannot program and/or write everything, I could use assistance to develop this product further. Mainly are missing: o new components and/or source. o Documentation. o Tests and continue to develop the product You contact the developer at wdsibylDESPAM@DESPAMchello.at" Top
