2007-04-03 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Paul Smedley Hi All, I just got Gnash compiling and had to announce it :) http://download.smedley.info/gnash-cvs20070403-os2.zip Details on Gnash, http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ Gnash is a GNU Flash movie player. Previously, it was only possible to play flash movies with proprietary software. While there are some other free flash players, none support anything beyond SWF v4. Gnash is based on GameSWF, and supports many SWF v7 features. No firefox plugin yet, and hardly any testing other than several of the samples included in the Gnash CVS repository work, and Joachim reports that the eComStation tour works :) Cheers, Paul. Top
