2007-10-01 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Martín Itúrbide There are two new Bounty Suggestions at OS2World.com that need sponsors. * VirtualBox* Virtual Box is an open source is a x86 virtualization product released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). The port must have the GUI also ported to OS/2-eCS. http://www.os2world.com/content/view/14951/71/ * The GTK+ 2.x (The Gimp Toolkit)* GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces. Offering a complete set of widgets, GTK+ is suitable for projects ranging from small one-off projects to complete application suites. It is under the LGPL license. 2007-10-03 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Paul Smedley Hi All, Could anyone that's interested in testing a build of Postgresql v8.2.5 please contact me off list? [Please contact Paul via email at paulDESPAM@DESPAMsmedley.id.au Remove the DESPAM from the address before sending.] I don't use this extensively - so I'd like a small group of testers who are more knowledgeable to test the binaries before I do a public release. Cheers, Paul. Top
2007-10-03 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Peter Weilbacher I have created an OS/2 package of KompoZer 0.7.10 for OS/2. This is the current standalone WYSIWYG HTML editor based on Mozilla code. Please download it from http://weilbacher.org/Mozilla/builds.html It needs the old libc 0.5.1 from http://download.innotek.de/gccos2/runtime/libc-0.5.1.exe to run. There are no OS/2 specific changes from the last release (which was 0.7.7) but it should have taken up all the cross-platform work done over the last year. See http://kompozer.net/about http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=170132&release_id=530986 for listings of the changes. Peter Weilbacher. Top

2007-10-07 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: "Peter C. Chapin" I've put together a release candidate for version 1.7a. It can be downloaded from the usual places (there is a link on the Wiki's main page). This is a full download and not just a patch. I may experiment with creating a patch later. However, I wanted to get this update posted now. I'd be particularly interested to hear if this new version works for those who had trouble with the 1.7 regression. Peter OpenWatcom web site: http://openwatcom.org "2007-10-06: Open Watcom version 1.7a, release candidate 1 is now available for download. This version fixes an obscure but significant regression in 1.7 relative to 1.6. It contains no new features or bug fixes compared to 1.7.h" Dpwnload: http://ftp.openwatcom.org/ftp/devel/ Openwatcom Users News group: news://number1.nntp.dca.giganews.com/openwatcom.users.c_cpp Top
