2007-10-08 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Mark Dodel "the Universal Audio Driver for eCS and OS/2." UNIAUD32 1.2.0beta1 aka "ReSync 0.9.5" This is an experimental test release of a Resync of ALSA 0.9.5 in UniAud. It is only the uniaud32.sys driver. You must already have a recent UniAud release installed to use this. Though I found this release works fine on my Thinkpad T42p, please heed the warning below. "WARNING These 1.2.0 beta releases should be treated with the caution due to any experimental/unstable software. They should not be used on a production system without proper system backups. Always keep a bootable CD handy for reverting to a more stable release of Uniaud32.sys in case this one should trap." 2007-10-14 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Cees van Veelen As a customer of Sundial Systems and user of Junkspy I received the following sad news: "On October 5th, Sundial Systems suddenly and unexpectedly lost its President and chief developer, Randell Flint. Randell was the heart and soul of Sundial, and we are mourning his untimely passing." This information is confirmed by the website of the company. http://www.sundialsystems.com/ I think the OS/2 community lost a valuable member. Greetings, Cees van Veelen. [Moderator note; This is truly sad news. Besides being a developer of many great OS/2 applications, Randell was a long time supporter of many OS/2 organizations and was very supportive of VOICE and Warpstock. He will be greatly missed.] Top
